Q: What is coaching?

A: Coaching is a process of positive inquiry that leads to deeper insight into yourself and your processes. It supports your personal and professional development by helping you clarify and achieve your goals. Coaching trusts that you, the client, are the expert on your own life and business. With this understanding, the coaching process respects and honors your viewpoints and life experience.

Q: How are you different from other coaches?

A: As a coach with a background in organization development and entrepreneurship, I bring in structures and frameworks to aid your business development. While I will hold the overall structure for the sessions and make suggestions, it's up to you to get the most out of the sessions by being willing to explore whatever is coming up in the moment. I aid coaching sessions with guided meditation and visualization to help you go deeper and discover greater truths within yourself.

Q: What does a coaching session with you look like?

A: Sessions are led by inquiry to help you do your best thinking. We explore the steps that you need to take and the best strategy. I hold a space of accountability through tracking your progress and checkins. We work with meditation, visualization, and increasing self-awareness to get clarity on your project and what is truly authentic and meaningful to you.

Q: What should I look for in a coach?

A: The world of coaching is a vast industry representing people with all different experiences and backgrounds. Anyone can call themselves a coach, so it’s important to check their qualifications and ensure they have training certifiable by the International Coaching Federation (ICF). This organization is the gold standard in the industry and establishes best practices and a code of ethics.

You can read ICF's core values and code of ethics here.

Q: How long do typical coaching engagements last?

A: There is no typical engagement. Some clients hire a coach for a few sessions to work through a specific challenge or topic, while others work with a coach for years. A long-term coaching engagement follows a client through different evolutions of life and business. This ongoing relationship provides growth support in service of the client’s vision.
